Tonight we learn that President Trump, on his own authority, has dispatched Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group to the Caribbean, to join God knows how many other surface vessels that are already there, among them nuclear submarines and amphibious landing ships. This growing armada builds to attack strength against an impoverished country without either a credible navy or air force...for what? "To stop the flow of drugs." You do not need an armada that is more suited to an operation comparable to the leveling of Gaza, or Iraq, or Syria, or Libya, or Afghanistan, or so on. Trump has already authorized covert CIA attacks (terrorism) and announced his anticipated land bombings...NONE OF THIS IS JUSTIFIED, or even Constitutional...to declare war, especially without cause, requires an act of Congress.
Even the hardcore antiwar "Trumpies" will not go for this.
